Zac Brown Takes on Debt for Las Vegas Residency

Zac Brown has shared that he’s stepping into debt to fund his upcoming No. 4 residency in Las Vegas later this year. “We’re just going to go into debt to make it happen,” said the 46-year-old country star in a recent interview.

His concerts at the iconic venue are set to begin in December, with the first show aligning with the release of the Zac Brown Band’s new album, “Love & Fear,” on December 5. Despite the financial risks, Brown is eager about the experience he and his band aim to provide for their fans.

“It’s a big moment,” he remarked, expressing his desire to be remembered alongside legendary bands like the Grateful Dead for making a lasting impact on fans.

Brown is aware of the challenges ahead, especially considering the capacity of about 20,000 for these shows. “Whatever adversity is, I’m just like, ‘It’s okay, bring it,'” he said, emphasizing the importance of staying focused amid distractions.

The Las Vegas venue is unlike typical music spots; it offers a multi-sensory experience that aims to engage the audience fully. Brown mentioned that he has crafted a unique storyline to accompany the performances. “Unpredictability is something we often use in our live shows,” he added, hinting at surprises for the audience.

He elaborated that much of the audio and video content is nearly finalized, showcasing personal stories he hasn’t shared publicly before. “We experience everything because humans always make us better in some way,” Brown noted.

He hinted at a distinct “red theme” running through all four shows. “It brings people through uncomfortable things, creating that dissonance and liberation that truly defines our art,” he remarked, making it clear this experience will be unlike anything he’s done before.

On a personal note, Brown recently announced his engagement to Kendra Scott, right before the Las Vegas residency kicks off. “We’re so happy and grateful that we found each other,” he mentioned, following his prior divorce from Kelly Yazdi.

Brown expressed contentment, saying, “It feels good. I made her better.” As he leads into this new chapter, both in his career and personal life, there’s a sense of excitement for what lies ahead.
