Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock Draw Attention at Oklahoma Festival
Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock have been captivating audiences at festivals in Oklahoma recently.
During the “Born & Raised Festival” on Saturday, Adcock posted a video showing Bryan shouting from behind a chain link fence. In the clip, Bryan challenged Adcock, saying, “You want to fight like a man? Open the gate,” while clapping his hands against the fence. Bryan then attempted to cross over but was restrained by a security guard. Another video of the incident circulated online.
Adcock shared his perspective on the encounter through an Instagram video, captioning it “Rotten Fruit Falls by itself,” which quickly reached nearly 1 million followers.
Criticism and Controversy
Interestingly, Bryan has faced skepticism from fellow country artists questioning the authenticity of his persona. Adcock remarked, “I don’t think Zach Bryan is a very good guy. He wasn’t locked out of the festival.” He noted that Bryan had access to various areas with multiple security guards around him throughout the day.
Adcock described seeing Bryan between tour buses and mentioned Bryan asking, “Gavin, where is Gavin?” before saying Bryan purposely waited until an hour before Adcock’s performance to instigate the situation.
He pointed out, “Artists who care about their fans aren’t going to fight just before their set.” Adcock indicated that there was no solid reason for a confrontation but acknowledged being provoked enough to jump the fence. Yet he maintained that engaging in a fight would have only led to unnecessary consequences, including being jailed and missing his performance.
“Nobody is scared of Zach Bryan,” Adcock stated. He emphasized that he opted not to take the bait and hoped for Bryan’s personal growth, admitting that the incident seemed like an attempt to fabricate a stronger image.
Past Tensions
Adcock also called out Bryan over a previous incident involving a young fan who had waited for hours for an autograph. He expressed disappointment in Bryan’s dismissive response, suggesting that if Bryan couldn’t manage criticism from a young admirer, his popularity might be unfounded. Adcock noted that the fan’s parents spent a lot to attend the event, implying that Bryan should be more grateful and considerate.
As for Bryan’s team, they have yet to respond to requests for comment.
