Zach Wilson shares intimate on-field moment with fiancée

Zach Wilson was excited to see his fiancée, Nicolette Delano, on the field in Sunday’s preseason finale, in which the quarterback led the Broncos to a 38-12 win over the Cardinals.

The couple, who got engaged in June, were seen embracing each other at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on Sunday, as seen in a video shared to Delano’s Instagram Story.

The influencer also reposted video of Wilson’s 46-yard touchdown pass to Broncos wide receiver Brandon Johnson with 6:22 left in the fourth quarter.

“Unbelievable,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.

Wilson proposed to Delano in June while on vacation in Italy, gifting her a beautiful oval-cut diamond ring.

The future couple has not been very public about their relationship, but they first sparked dating rumors in June 2022 when they were photographed together at a Yankees game.

Wilson, filling in for Jarrett Stidham on the opening series, finished Sunday’s game 16-of-25 for 251 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Bo Nix, the Broncos’ 12th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, won the competition for the starting quarterback spot in Denver.

Stidham, who is currently competing for the Knicks’ backup spot, said he was “very disappointed” to lose his starting spot.

Stidham started the final two games of last season after the Broncos benched Russell Wilson, who was waived and then signed a one-year contract with the Steelers in March.

Zach Wilson was traded to the Broncos the following month after a disappointing third season with the Jets.

He took over as head coach after four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury last season in the season-opening Sept. 11 win over the Bills.

Broncos coach Sean Payton said he plans to retain Wilson, the 2021 No. 2 overall pick by the Jets.

“We have plenty of money. I understand the question. We’re comfortable with those three quarterbacks.” Peyton says“I think I’ve already said this, but I think you three will make it.”

Wilson is excited about the Knicks’ success and praised Payton’s decision.

“Obviously, I guess it wasn’t that much of a surprise, right? I think he had a great camp.” Wilson told reporters on Sunday.

“… I really believe they’ve put him in a good situation. I think Sean’s done a great job… I’m excited to see what he can do and I think he’ll be ready.”

The Broncos open the regular season at Seattle on Sept. 8.
