Zach Wilson's fiance is excited for the next chapter for the quarterback.
Shortly after the former Jett and Broncos quarterback agreed to a one-year, $6 million deal with Dolphins on Monday, Nicolett Delano celebrated the move with a heartfelt message on social media.
“So happy for my boy,” Delano gushed out on Instagram stories in response to the news.
Wilson, 25, spent his past seasons in Denver, was the third quarterback on the depth chart behind Bonix and Jarrett Stidham, respectively.
Wilson's deal with dolphins is fully guaranteed and could rise to $10 million.
When joining the dolphins who missed the playoffs at 8-9 in 2024, Wilson could potentially slide into the backup role behind starter Tua Tagovailoa.
The 27-year-old Tagovailoa has played in 11 games this season, throwing for 2,867 yards, 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
He missed time early after being diagnosed with a concussion in a second week defeat to the bill before returning to the Cardinals with an eight-week defeat.
Tagovailoa did not play in the last two regular season games.
Wilson is very familiar with the dolphins playing twice a year with the Jets.
With the 2021 Gang Green's second overall pick, Wilson failed to live up to expectations in New York, threw 23 touchdowns against 25 interceptions over 34 games in three Rocky seasons.
Wilson was set to reset in 2023 when the Jets traded with Aaron Rodgers, but he went into action when the four-time league MVP kept Achilles' injury at the end of the season and playing just four cards during his tenure in New York.
Delano, who first linked with Wilson in 2022, supported the aspiring signal candidate during his time in Denver, where he approached QB's wife Eaggie Knicks and Kennedy Stidham.
Wilson proposed to Delano last summer when they were on holiday in Italy.
“Zack, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me. Every day I admire your strength and I'm so proud of you. I'm in love with you so much and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life together.” She gushed On Instagram in June 2024.
