Zaire Wade, 24, the son of former NBA star Dwyane Wade, was arrested last month due to a domestic violence incident that took place in Burbank.
A recent criminal complaint filed in Los Angeles notes that Wade is facing a felony charge related to a June 21 confrontation with his girlfriend.
Police responded to a call around 5:30 a.m. regarding a woman screaming. Upon arrival, officers found Wade alongside a woman who had facial and bodily lacerations.
According to the Burbank police, Wade was arrested on charges of domestic violence, criminal intimidation, and false imprisonment. It’s a serious situation, and the news has caught quite a bit of attention.
Paramedics assessed the woman at the scene, but she didn’t need to be hospitalized. After Wade’s arrest, authorities also confiscated a handgun from his home and initiated an emergency protection order.
Wade was later released after posting bail set at $50,000.
He is known as the oldest son of Dwyane Wade, who enjoyed a distinguished NBA career, winning three championships and achieving numerous accolades. Interestingly, Dwyane hasn’t publicly addressed the arrest of his son.
Before all of this, Zaire and Bronny James were teammates at Sierra Canyon School during the 2019-2020 basketball season, making quite a name for themselves.
