Residents were shocked to see four zebras escape from a trailer near Interstate 90 in North Bend, Washington, on Sunday.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the incident occurred around 1 p.m. during a search for the zebra. transportedKing 5 reported.

When the animals fled, the driver stopped to secure the trailer.
“We’re here in North Bend, and someone lost a zebra,” the man said. recording the animals scuttled down the roadway, he said as he filmed the scene.
The zebra then veers into what appears to be the driveway of a house and moves out of sight.

Three of the zebras have been captured, but one is still at large, WSP officials said. According to King 5, witnesses said the driver saw the group, stopped, and drove his cars closer together to create a makeshift fence. Their efforts prevented the animals from entering the interstate and instead forced them into nearby areas.
“I’ve only seen them at zoos, so this was my first time,” said Alex Campo, an employee at a restaurant off Interstate 90.
The zebra owner transport According to Fox 13, the animals were sent to an animal sanctuary in Montana.
“I called someone and was like, ‘I found my missing zebra.’ They’re in my yard,” Whitney Blomquist told the outlet.
“They looked straight at me, and I was like, ‘Okay, don’t make a fuss.’ I think I need to be quiet. ” Learn with the bears. You make a lot of noise, so you have to make yourself bigger. Like the zebra, no one told me what to do when I approached the zebra,” she added.
Neighbors, police officers and rodeo experts helped corral the three zebras and transport them to safety. Among the group was a baby zebra that ended up in a neighbor’s backyard.
