“A new attack has occurred in the area of Operation Kursk,” Zelenskyy said in a speech Friday, adding, “Russia has once again deployed North Korean soldiers along with its troops.”
According to Zelenskyy, a “slight number” of enemy forces were destroyed. He gave no details, but said the losses were in hundreds.
Russia's Defense Ministry said it had repelled Ukraine's counterattack in the Kursk region on Saturday.
Russia said Friday that its forces captured Torretsk mining towns in its latest breakthrough in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian officials did not confirm the report.
