Trump Receives Unique Golf Gift from Ukrainian Soldier

President Trump has been gifted a golf putter carved by a Ukrainian soldier, a man who found solace in the sport after losing a leg during the fight against Russian forces.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented the club to Trump on behalf of Junior Sergeant Kostyantyn Kartavtsev.

Kartavtsev has taken to golfing with prosthetic legs, a transition supported by the Ukrainian Golf Federation’s Golf By Golf program, which aims at rehabilitation through the sport.

The club carries an inscription that reads, “Let’s bring peace together!” reflecting both the soldier’s journey and the ongoing spirit of resilience. “This gift comes from someone who understands the true cost of peace,” Zelensky mentioned. “Like many on the frontline, he continues to fight for our freedom.”

In a video message, Trump, who is an enthusiastic golfer, complimented Kartavtsev’s swing after watching a clip of him playing. “Your swing looks great,” he noted.

Trump expressed appreciation for the putter itself, saying, “It’s beautiful, and it’s made with real love. I’m truly grateful for it.”

With a sense of humor, Trump joked, “Every time I sink a putt, I think of you,” highlighting the personal connection he’s forming through this gift.

He went on to praise Ukraine, stating it is “a wonderful country,” and acknowledged Zelensky’s hard work towards its recovery and health.

In a show of gratitude, the United Veteran Community of Golf Club issued a statement thanking Trump for his supportive leadership regarding Ukraine’s quest for peace, alongside his kind remarks to their fellow soldiers.
