Zelensky Tells Trump He Can’t Understand Ukraine Until He Visits Country

President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a petition to President Donald Trump to personally visit Ukraine and see the effects of the war.

Ukrainian President Zelensky appealed to President Donald Trump to visit Ukraine, claiming that figures like Vice President JD Vance, Trump’s envoy Keith Kellogg and Secretary of State Marco Rubio could not understand Ukraine without looking at the battlefield.

Asked if he would invite Trump to Ukraine, Zelensky said in a now-published interview recorded on Friday: “I’m happy. I’ve always wanted it so much.

Zelensky totally did not call Trump or his senior colleagues ignorant, but he still said that people who have never been to Ukraine could not understand what is going on there and why.

He continued, “I think you understand what’s going on here, OK, we respect your position… Everyone thinks they understand… But before any kind of decision, form of negotiation, you come to meet civilians, warriors, hospitals, churches, dead or dead, just walking, just going to see people.”
