When Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy attended the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, he also offered former President Trump an opportunity to visit Ukraine and accompany him to the front lines.
“If Mr. Trump comes, I am ready to go to the front lines with him,” Zelenskiy said Saturday to applause from the audience.
“If we’re going to have a dialogue about how to end the war, I think we have to show who the decision-makers are, what it means, and the real war. Not on Instagram, but the real war.” he continued.

Zelenskiy said he had made similar offers to Trump before, but that ultimately the visit was up to Trump.
“I publicly invited him, but it depends on his wishes,” Zelenskiy said.

Zelenskiy also commented that the invitation was open to candidates and officials from both parties, and said he supports bipartisan support.
Trump, the current Republican front-runner, has expressed opposition to additional aid to Ukraine. Just last week, President Trump called on Republicans to block a $95 billion aid package aimed at aiding both Ukraine and Israel.

The White House recently released the former president’s remarks after Trump, in a campaign speech in Conway, South Carolina, urged Russia to do “whatever you want” to NATO members that don’t meet defense spending guidelines. and criticized Russia, calling it “an appalling and outrageous statement.” ”

During his speech, President Trump said, “NATO was crushed until I showed up.”. “I said, ‘Everyone will pay.’ They said, ‘If we don’t pay, will you protect us?’ I said, “Absolutely not.” They couldn’t believe the answer. ”
Zelensky heads to Europe for aid as Trump slams US funding package
Zelenskiy’s attendance at the Munich Security Conference comes as Russia’s war with Ukraine approaches its second anniversary this month. President Zelenskiy spoke of an “artificial shortage” of ammunition and continued support from the international community.

Zelenskiy also stood alongside Vice President Kamala Harris at a joint news conference, where the vice president pledged continued U.S. support for Ukraine.
