Zoe Kravitz recently shared that she stayed at Taylor Swift’s expansive Beverly Hills home earlier this year due to the severe weather in California.
During an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Kravitz mentioned that the 14-time Grammy winner graciously offered her and her mother, Lisa Bonet, her stunning $25 million mansion in Beverly Hills.
“We spent about two weeks there,” the “High Fidelity” actress recalled.
“Taylor’s home is beautiful and from the 30s; you really want to care for it.”
Kravitz humorously noted that while trying to be a considerate guest and “leave a better place than I found,” she accidentally ended up causing some damage.
While tidying up before leaving, she got a call from her mom. After looking for her, she found Bonet in the upstairs bathroom, oddly positioned around a corner.
“I was curious and asked, ‘What’s going on up there?’ She told me she was washing her face and noticed a little hole in the wall.”
As it turns out, a snake had found its way into the wall. Initially, they attempted to rescue it, with Bonet grabbing the snake’s tail, but the panic of the moment only pushed it deeper.
Kravitz eventually contacted Swift’s house manager, asking for help. “We were tearing things apart,” she recalled. “We really damaged the bathroom, but we were left with no choice—either we destroy it or tell Taylor there’s a snake in her house.”
She assured the house manager, “I will pay for the repairs. Just keep it quiet until it’s fixed.”
However, Swift was already aware of the chaotic scene when Kravitz finally spoke with her. “She said, ‘Hey, I think we need to talk about how you almost lost a snake in my house and wrecked my bathroom.’
In a lighthearted turn, Kravitz initially speculated that Swift’s next album might be titled “Orpheus,” but that idea was dashed when Swift revealed that her upcoming 12th album is actually called “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Having been friends with the singer for over a decade, Kravitz has grown even closer to Swift in recent years.
They’ve been seen together on multiple occasions, especially after Kravitz ended her engagement with Channing Tatum. The actress even attended Swift’s sold-out “Eras” tour in London, which she described as “crazy.”
“Taylor has an incredible talent; honestly, I’m not surprised she excels at everything,” Kravitz remarked during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” “But what’s really surprising is that after performing for thousands, she just comes home, we grab a burger, drink some wine, and hang out.”
This firsthand look at Swift’s artistry has been a new experience for Kravitz, who collaborated with her on the 2022 album “Midnights,” contributing to songs like “Karma” and “Lavender Haze.”
