1 horse remains under observation and another is expected to recover fully after London rampage

One of the military horses that was separated from its trainer and galloped through the streets of London last week is expected to make a full recovery, while the other remains under observation, the British Army announced on Monday.

The horses were part of a group being trained for a ceremonial mission when they were surprised by builders moving debris near Buckingham Palace on April 24. Vida was widely photographed running through central London covered in blood.

The two soldiers injured in the incident are still being treated in hospital and are expected to make a full recovery, the military said. Others have returned to work.

“Healing takes time, and we ask you to be patient as we support the process,” the military said. “All of our soldiers and horses are receiving the best possible care.”
