12-year-old shot multiple times after throwing snowball at car in Connecticut

Police in Connecticut have begun searching for a suspect who shot at children and hit a 12-year-old multiple times after the children pelted the suspect's car with snowballs last week.

Hartford police officers responded to a shooting around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday and found a 12-year-old boy injured, according to Hartford police.

Police said the victim and his 11-year-old friend were having a snowball fight outside when one of the snowballs struck a passing car.

The car swerved to chase the children, but the driver fired a gun at them, police said. said at a press conference on Thursday.

The 12-year-old boy suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to Connecticut Children's Medical Center. The 11-year-old boy was not injured.

As of Sunday, no suspects had been arrested and police were continuing to investigate.
