Thirteen Democratic attorneys general sent a letter to prominent firearms manufacturer Glock, citing Chicago’s lawsuit against the company and expressing concerns about the “Glock of machine guns.”

Breitbart News reported on the lawsuit on March 19, 2024, alleging that Glock is liable for the Windy City’s ability to easily use a “Glock switch” to convert semi-automatic handguns to fully automatic. I pointed out what I did.
Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) commented on the lawsuit:
The city of Chicago is experiencing a dangerous new frontier in gun violence plaguing communities with the rise of fully automatic Glocks on the streets. Selling firearms that can easily be converted into automatic weapons makes violent acts even more dangerous, and we will hold Glock accountable for putting profits over public safety, and we will continue to improve gun violence. We are doing everything we can to work with other organizations dedicated to eradication.
The complaint cites China as one of the sources of Auto Sears, a core component of Glock switches, but the extent to which China is said to be involved in disseminating such switches to the United States is unclear. It does not explain how it will work.

They are illegal for most gun owners in the United States, but they are being shipped in boxes by the “thousands” from China.
