Trump signed an executive order in late January entitled “Protecting children from chemical and surgical resections.” Its purpose is to limit “chemical and surgical” transgender procedures for minors.
“Today, medical professionals are hurting more and more impressive children under the fundamental and false claims that adults can change their child's sex through a series of irreversible medical interventions; It's sterilized,” the executive order said. “This dangerous trend has to become a taint in our country's history and end.”

Joint Statement I'll declare it“The state attorney general will continue to enforce state laws that provide access to gender-affirming care in states where such enforcement is present, and to illegal efforts by the Trump administration to restrict access to jurisdictions. I object.”
The statement challenged the accessibility of life-changing gender procedures, claiming Trump was wrong about “science and law.”
“Despite what the Trump administration suggests, there is no connection between genital mutilation and gender-affirming care for women, and federal laws have not made gender-affirming care illegal. President Trump has been told by executive order. It cannot be changed,” the statement reads.
The statement also failed to resolve the Trump administration's funding freeze, saying that President Trump “continuedly has federal funding to institutions providing gender-affirming care” regardless of his recent executive order. He quoted “critical victory from federal courts.” .
