A Nebraska high school was placed on lockdown after a suspect shot a student in the stomach and fled the scene.

A gunman shot a 15-year-old boy in the abdomen at Northwest High School in Omaha, Nebraska, on Tuesday, leaving the boy hospitalized in critical condition.
Police said the suspect fled the scene but was later taken into custody. Omaha police announced the arrest and said he was no longer a “threat to the community.”
The suspect's identity has not been released, but police have described the shooter as “juvenile.”
Nearby Marian High School and Roman Catholic High School were also placed on lockdown while police searched for the suspect, which lasted about 30 minutes.
The school set up a reunion area inside the football stadium for parents to meet with their children.
The incident came days after 14-year-old Colt Gray went on a shooting spree at Apalachee High School in Georgia on September 4, killing four people and wounding nine.Number.
