At least 16 people were shot in Chicago, led by Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson, between Friday and Saturday night, two of them fatally.
CBS News report The first of the two fatal shootings occurred Friday just before 7:30 p.m. A man was shot while driving in the “6700 block of South Woodlawn Avenue” and then crashed. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

The second shooting occurred at 4:30 a.m. Saturday after a gun was drawn after an argument. The victim was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Many of the other shootings were non-fatal at the time of the incident, but resulted from shots fired from vehicles, heated altercations, and general assaults.
Breitbart News reported that at least 23 people were shot, two of them fatally, between Friday, May 3, and the morning of Sunday, May 5 in Chicago, the city of Mayor Brandon Johnson.
