Since the new fiscal year began on October 1, Border Patrol has apprehended about 16,000 Chinese migrants who crossed the border between ports of entry, according to an unofficial report reviewed by Breitbart Texas. . This number represents almost two-thirds of the Chinese immigrants arrested in the entire fiscal year ended September 30.
According to the report, since October 1, 2023, Border Patrol agents have arrested approximately 15,800 Chinese nationals who illegally crossed the border between ports of entry. Official reports from U.S. Customs and Border Protection revealed that it apprehended 9,844 immigrants in October and November. This brings the total number of people arrested since December 1, 2023 to approximately 6,800.
Since President Joe Biden took office on January 21, 2021, the number of arrests of Chinese immigrants illegally entering the United States has increased from single digits to thousands per month. In February 2021, Biden's first full month in office, agents arrested just nine Chinese immigrants. The number began to steadily increase from dozens of cases per month in FY21 to hundreds per month in FY22 to thousands of cases per month in FY23 and FY24.
About 6,800 Chinese immigrants have been apprehended since Dec. 1, 2023, more than double the annual arrest rate before the Biden administration, according to Border Patrol reports dating back to 2007.
The graph below shows that concerns about Chinese immigration have increased dramatically since the Biden administration took office in January 2021.
The report does not include figures from unofficial December and January arrest reports reviewed by Breitbart. The report shows that the overwhelming majority of these concerns are among single adults. Border Patrol officials, who are not authorized to speak to the media, have previously revealed that most of the victims are men of military age.
