MANCHESTER, N.H. — A New Hampshire man is facing charges after police say he knocked over a portable toilet containing a woman and child, trapping her inside.
Witnesses told Manchester Police that a man and a woman were arguing near a toilet in Derryfield Park on Wednesday.
The woman, who did not appear to have known the 18-year-old man, went into the bathroom to rescue her daughter, but the man pushed the toilet over, causing it to fall onto the sidewalk, including the door.
Police said a woman and child were rescued after bystanders ran over and overturned the toilet, reporting that they were covered in feces and bodily fluids.
The woman and child were not injured. The man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and criminal restraint.

He was also charged with simple assault for throwing an object at one of the officers, police said.
It is unclear at this time whether he is represented by an attorney.
