19 year old male turned himself in A man was arrested and reported to police in Florida after being caught on video vandalizing a street mural honoring the LGBTQ+ community and movement.

Dylan Brewer, of Clearwater, surrendered to police Monday and posted $5,250 bail on charges of felony mischief and reckless driving.
police Said They devoted great effort to solving the crime.
“Law enforcement worked actively on the investigation for over a week,” they said. “We received multiple reports from concerned citizens who witnessed Mr. Brewer engaging in these acts of vandalism. Multiple witnesses provided video of the crimes on their smartphones.”
They called his actions “reckless” and “caused significant damage to a streetscape painting that is a symbol of unity and inclusivity for the LGBTQ community.”
Delray Beach Vice Mayor Rob Long said the mural should be commemorated to increase penalties for those who vandalize it again.
“This is a message. It’s a message of hate. It’s a message of intolerance. I think we need to have more deterrence against that,” Long said.
City officials say it will cost more than $6,000 to repair the damage to the mural, and they hope Brewer will be ordered to pay at least some of that amount.The activists anger The man has not been charged with a hate crime.
In a similar incident in 2021, another man pleaded guilty to vandalizing the mural and was sentenced to probation and community service. At the time, his truck had a large flag depicting former President Donald Trump.
