Two people narrowly escaped by deploying parachutes from a small plane that spiraled into a Florida backyard on Thursday.
“I looked up and saw a plane with a parachute attached, circling and about to hit the ground,” said Sheri Catlett of Brandon, who filmed the plane’s spiral descent around 3:20 p.m. “I heard a loud explosion,” he said.afternoon
The footage shows the plane deploying its parachute in the sky and slowly falling.
When Hillsborough County Fire Rescue arrived at the scene, they found two people unharmed inside the upside-down plane. According to the statement.
The passengers were “transported to a local trauma center in stable condition,” the department said.

The rescue team added that the plane’s parachute got stuck in a tree, which may have prevented it from hitting the power lines.
The plane, a two-seater single-engine Evector Harmony, took off from Tampa Executive Airport just five minutes before the crash. The Tampa Bay Times reported.
The aircraft was registered with Skyhawk Leasing LLC in late February and completed two flights that same day.
