Ticket prices for the 2025 College Football National Championship are breaking records and far exceeding average costs in recent years.
When the Ohio State Buckeyes play the Notre Dame Fighting Irish tonight at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, attendees will be forced to pay an average of 36 percent more than last year.
Difference in average ticket price, $2,637 in 2025 and $1,934 in 2024 ( front office sports), which pales in comparison to what it was in 2023, when the average price for Georgia vs. TCU was $1,072. This is a 246% increase in just two years.

These prices have increased significantly even since the semifinal games, with an average increase of 29% since the Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl.

The excitement for the national championship is far higher than any game in the inaugural College Football Playoff. The highest average purchase price was just $790 for Notre Dame's first-round game against Indiana in December.
The lowest average price was the Peach Bowl game between Arizona State and Texas, where the average entry fee was just $175. Of course, these prices are nowhere near the price of an average NCAA football game during the regular season, due to vastly different market sizes.
For example, BYU vs. Colorado averaged $205 per ticket, while Pittsburgh vs. Toledo had the lowest average ticket price at just $10. Both of these matches took place in late December.
Ticket buyers flock to Atlanta from all over the country, with Texas having the highest percentage of fans attending stadiums at 17%. About 15% of the fans were from New Jersey, and an additional 10.6% of tickets were sold to fans in Ohio.
Meanwhile, just 4.3% of tickets were purchased in Notre Dame's home state of Indiana.
