2025 NFL Draft No. 1 pick odds: Shedeur Sanders early favorite

As this year’s extravaganza in Detroit draws to a close, oddsmakers are already starting to focus on the 2025 NFL Draft class.

And the big name has already established himself as a strong candidate for No. 1 overall.

Colorado quarterback Shedur Sanders, the son of NFL Hall of Famer and Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, has +100 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook and will be a member of the starting lineup next April. It is a big favorite to become one.

Sanders, who transferred from Jackson State before last season, had a breakout season in Boulder, throwing for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

However, after shocking the college football world with a 3-0 start, Colorado finished a disappointing 4-8.

Several other college signal callers form the clear top three on the DraftKings odds board.

Four more quarterbacks – Penn State’s Drew Allard (+850), Alabama’s Jalen Milroe (+950), Ole Miss’ Jackson Dart (+1200), and Miami’s Cam Ward (+ 1500) – will be in the top 7 to reach the final ranking. The first defensive player in the conversation, Georgia edge rusher Mikel Williams (+1800).

Sanders’ teammate, two-way star Travis Hunter, is also a potential No. 1 overall pick, according to oddsmakers.

Hunter, who played corner receiver and wide receiver for the Buffaloes last season, has the 14th-best odds (+2200) to be the No. 1 pick.

Regardless of how this year’s college football season plays out, next year’s race for the No. 1 overall pick will look much different than the 2024 draft.

When Odds opened around this time last year, Caleb Williams was already a highly anticipated No. 1 pick at -550.That finally rang true when the Bears made him their franchise quarterback on Thursday.
