Tragic Death of British Woman in Texas Under Investigation
A young British woman, Lucy Harrison, was fatally shot while visiting her father in Texas, reportedly after a dispute over President Trump. During the inquest, it was revealed that Lucy and her father had a significant argument about Trump—who was set to be inaugurated for a second term soon. Lucy’s boyfriend, Sam Littler, witnessed the altercation and recalled Lucy questioning her father’s feelings on sexual assault if she were in such a situation. Chris Harrison expressed that he wasn’t particularly distressed because he had two other daughters, which deeply upset Lucy, leading her to retreat upstairs.
Later, as they were preparing to head to the airport, a loud noise startled Littler. She witnessed Chris leading Lucy into her bedroom. Tragically, Lucy was found lying on the floor; Chris reportedly screamed upon realizing the situation.
It was noted that Chris admitted to relapsing into alcohol consumption that day, having drunk about 17 ounces of white wine. He mentioned they were watching news reports on gun violence when he showed Lucy a gun he owned for safety reasons. During the incident, he claimed to have lifted the gun when he suddenly heard a loud bang, resulting in Lucy collapsing.
CCTV footage indicated that Chris had purchased alcohol earlier that day, and responding officers detected alcohol on his breath. His lawyer requested the presiding coroner to step aside, implying potential bias, but the request was denied, and proceedings continued.
In his statement, Chris expressed profound remorse for his daughter’s death, stating that he has accepted the consequences of his actions and that he carries the weight of this loss every day.
