3 2024 Super Bowl prop bets, including 1 that would be sweet revenge for 49ers

The Super Bowl is one of the biggest betting events in the world each year, with the final game of the NFL season attracting prop bets.

What other types of bets can you make heading into the big game? Here are three fun prop bets to consider heading into Sunday’s Super Bowl. Provided by: draftkings sportsbook.

Patrick Mahomes is the best player in the game, but Christian McCaffrey is certainly debatable for that honor. C-Mac is coming off a regular season in which he led the league in total scrimmage yards (2,023) and tied for the NFL lead in total touchdowns (21).

If it’s a big game, McCaffrey is a near-lock who can get over 100 all-purpose yards. With so many talented pass catchers on the roster, McCaffrey’s receiving stats can be a little difficult to predict. But in a game like this against a Chiefs defense that only has one real weakness in terms of rushing, he’s guaranteed more than 14 carries. That’s a run.

McCaffrey has rushed for 90 or more yards this season in two playoff games and five of the last six regular season games.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, had a middling run defense, finishing the regular season 18th in rushing yards allowed per game (113.2) and 24th in rushing yards allowed per game (4.5).

Look for the over with McCaffrey totaling 90.5 yards rushing.

For a time during the regular season, 34-year-old Travis Kelce looked old, tired, and destined for retirement. But Kelce returned to the Hall of Fame level player he was accustomed to during the Chiefs’ dynasty.

Kelce has recorded 70 or more receiving yards in all three playoff games so far, including 116 yards and a touchdown in Baltimore, the toughest spot for opposing offenses this season.

It also helps that the 49ers’ defense has been very inconsistent in the postseason. That was especially true against Detroit, where tight end Sam LaPorta had a game-high 97 receiving yards on nine catches, which was also a game-high.

This could be Kelce’s last game in the NFL. Either way, expect him to gain over 71 receiving yards.

It would be poetic if the 49ers not only won Super Bowl V, but they did it with the come-from-behind victory we’ve become so accustomed to these days.

In the divisional round game against Green Bay, the 49ers trailed 21-14 in the fourth quarter before rallying to win 24-21.

In the NFC Championship vs. Detroit, the 49ers came back from a 24-7 halftime deficit to come away with a 34-31 victory. It was the biggest comeback from a halftime deficit in conference title game history.

The real irony of the come-from-behind Super Bowl win for the 49ers will be the sweet revenge the Niners get against a Chiefs team that did just that in Super Bowl LIV. San Francisco led 20-10 entering the fourth quarter, but allowed 21 points in the final seven minutes and lost 31-20.

This might be the best way to write the final chapter of the 49ers’ storybook season.
