Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of a good Samaritan in Arizona.
Paul Clifford, 53, was found dead near his smoldering car on Christmas Eve, authorities said.
Investigators believe the suspects went to Paul Clifford's home and asked for help with a car problem. His family reported him missing after not hearing from him.

Homicide detectives with the Pima County Sheriff's Department (PCSD) discovered information that led them to believe the suspect may be located near Benson Highway near Country Club Road.

The PCSD Fugitive Unit (FIU) initiated a search for the vehicle and suspect and, with assistance from multiple PCSD investigative support units, located the suspect.
“PCSD Homicide Detectives obtained a search warrant for the property and the Pima Regional SWAT Team executed the warrant at the indicated locations. The suspects barricaded themselves inside the residence and eventually called 9-1-1. A surrender was negotiated. All three suspects exited the residence and were taken into custody without incident,” the sheriff's office statement said.

“I am so saddened by the loss of my father. He was a gentle giant, a caring man with a big heart,” Sabrina Vining wrote on GoFundMe.
Elmer Smith, 19, Jack Upchurch, 40, and Wendy Scott, 16, were booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center on felony arrest warrants.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
