Police have so far been at a loss to explain the deaths of three Kansas City Chiefs fans who were found frozen to death outside a home where they had gathered to watch the game.
The bodies of David Harrington, 37, Ricky Johnson, 38, and Clayton McGeeney, 36, were all found. found Jan. 9 in a friend's backyard. A Kansas City Police Department spokesperson said the body likely had been lying there for two days before it was discovered. new york post.
Police said one man was found collapsed in the backyard, and the other two were found dead in the backyard.
The bodies were discovered after police sought a medical check on one of the men, but all had been missing for several days.
The home's owner, Jordan Willis, told police that his friends had been in his backyard for more than 48 hours after the three stopped by to watch a game between the Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers on January 7. He stated that he did not know that the body was lying there. He said he fell asleep before the others left.

Kansas City Police Department Lt. Jake Becchina emphasized that the incident is not being investigated as a homicide.
“No arrests have been made. [or] Charges have been filed and no one is in custody. “There is no particular threat or concern to the surrounding area at this time,” Becchina said, adding that “the occupants of this home were cooperative with detectives on the day the deceased was discovered.”
But friends and family of the three deceased Chiefs fans were shocked by the incident and furious at the homeowner, who claimed he didn't know his teammate had died in his backyard.
“While my friends lay dead in their yards, this man was alive and in his house. For who knows how long,” Kaylee La Tear wrote in a Facebook post.
“They had all been hanging out since after the game on Sunday. He knew people were looking for them. He read the messages of people looking for him on Tuesday,” she added. Ta.

“My friend banged on the door, broke the window and loudly announced his presence. She was inside and we never heard from him?” asked La Trier. The homeowner's attorney said the man had no idea his friends had died in the snow behind the house, and that all three of his friends' cars were outside the house, like everyone else's. They were searching for a missing man who even claims he didn't find it strange.
“Like the rest of us, [the homeowner] “We are anxiously awaiting the results of the autopsy and toxicology reports,” attorney John Picerno said.
“on behalf [the homeowner] “We would like to express our deepest condolences to the friends and families of these young men. Our thoughts and prayers are with them,” Picerno added.
Just days after a man was found dead in his backyard, Willis packed up his belongings and moved.
Willis' lawyer Confirmed WDAF-TV reported that the man left the home.
Police continue to investigate the deaths.
