In a recent New York Times article, “There's no end in sight to church scandals around Dallas.” Author Ruth Graham has accused several prominent Dallas-Fort Worth pastors and churches of eyebrow-raising misconduct.
Pat Gray and the “Unleashed” team discuss what's causing real concern in the DFW Christian community.

“This is how the article begins,” Pat read a message from Graham. “On Sunday morning, the pastor of Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas, took to the stage with his wife to reassure his congregation.”
The pastor mentioned is Ed Young, who, to Pat's knowledge, has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
Young told the congregation: “Lisa is the only woman I've ever been with, and the only man she's ever been with. …We don't have to worry about sexual artifacts existing in the closet.” there is no.”
Mr. Young's statement came in response to a growing list of DFW-based pastors who seem to be dropping like flies these days — most notably, in the 1980s, when Robert Morris and Tony Evans of Gateway Church are accused of sexual abuse. Stephen J. Lawson of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, who resigned due to vague “secret sins” in his past, and most recently Stephen J. Lawson of Trinity Bible Church, who had inappropriate relationships with women. There is.
Graham mentions all three of these people and more in his article.
“There is an associate pastor at Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco. …He was fired in July for moral failings. The senior pastor at Cross Timbers Church in Argyle is accused of inappropriate and harmful conduct. “I resigned because of this,” Pat said, quoting the article.
“It's like a virus that spreads,” he sighs.
