.38 Special and Lynyrd Skynyrd Legends Credit Jesus for Inspiring New Christian Album

The legends of the two rocks join together and sing the name of Jesus, driven by a common mission to see their souls being saved. The brother duo of Donnie Van Zandt and Johnny Van Zandt form the group Van Zandt, but are well known to rock fans in the roles of .38 Special and Reinard Skynard, respectively. The brothers say they wanted to make Christian albums for a long time, and found inspiration by feeling that they were led by God during Covid.

“We said, ‘What do you know? God has it on us to do this,” Johnny said.

“We just said to each other. If we could bring one person to Christ, this whole project would be worth it,” Donnie said. “And I think we’ve done it again to God’s glory. He’ll get glory.”

Another song, praysummarise their lives. Johnny said: “You can chase the world, win everything, have all these wonderful material things, but if you don’t have Christ in your life, what do you have?”

This is the duo’s first studio album in 17 years.

“We have a bucket list of things we want to do together musically, and at the top of that list was to record Christianity. Donnie said.

The two men came from a family of faith.

“Our father was going back and forth between the Bible and if he didn’t want to hear, he had to. Johnny laughed.

But the foundation eventually became personal, but they acknowledge – they were not approaching God in their younger years.

You go out, you don’t think about Jesus or heaven, and you’re trying to have your good time and make a living, and you want it to be the best, and you put it on the back burner for a bit, Johnny said of faith. “But God said we will go through trials and hardships. And you know, when you start those trials and hardships, you will give you a go. Really I’m starting to move forward, ‘Oh, me Really I need Jesus Christ in my life.

“And I think it’s cool to love Jesus. I think we’re the coolest person in the world here. he added with a smile. We love to praise his name anytime We can do itwe’re there.

For those who listened to the album, Johnny says his goal is clear: “Let them approach God and bring them closer to Jesus.
