of Navy Times report:

Four U.S. naval vessels supporting a maritime humanitarian aid mission in the Gaza Strip left their moorings on Saturday due to rough weather at sea, U.S. Central Command said.

Two of the boats are anchored on a beach near a floating dock off the Gaza coast, while the third and fourth are stranded off the Israeli coast near the coastal city of Ashkelon, about eight miles north of the Gaza Strip.

Central Command said there had been no reports of injuries and that the US-built pier was fully operational, adding that US military personnel were not entering the Gaza Strip.

A video showing the efforts to free the vessel was posted online.

President Joe Biden promised in his State of the Union address that he would not send “ground troops” to assist the pier.
