San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk’s girlfriend sparks speculation that the pass-catcher is leaving the Bay Area after the team’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl III Ta.

Rochelle Seawright posted a video of herself at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., writing, “I might not be back here,” fueling rumors of Aiyuk’s possible departure. The wide receiver gave a puzzled look last week when asked if he planned to discuss a contract extension with the team.

Following her boyfriend’s comments, Seawright upset 49ers fans by posting a TikTok video pushing back against criticism of her own social media videos.

“I’m pissed off at grown men acting like I’ve leaked top secret information,” she captioned a video of herself with a screencap. “This isn’t the Krabby Patty’s secret formula, baby, there’s nothing secret about it.

“And with every move that’s been made in his life, we have a lot to understand now, because, yeah… we live together and we share a child. I We act as a unit.”

The 49ers selected Aiyuk in the first round of the 2020 draft, and since then he has emerged as the team’s reliable receiver. The team exercised its team option for the 2024 season last April. He had 75 catches for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023. He was named second team All-Pro.

Aiyuk had three catches for 49 yards in the Super Bowl, but San Francisco lost 25-22.

Two days after the game, he was asked if he would discuss a long-term contract with the organization.

“If it’s the right thing to do, then yes,” he said.

He was quick to answer a follow-up question about what that “right action” would be for Aiyuk.

“It’s about being a champion,” he said.

Aiyuk also posted a cryptic message on her Instagram Story: “Don’t forget what got you there.”

Aiyuk’s future is uncertain, and the blow of a Super Bowl loss can cause frustration for any talented player. It’s a long offseason, so we don’t know what will happen. One thing is for sure: He still has one year left on his rookie contract with the 49ers.
