Saturday marks seven weeks since Ricky Pearsall's life was in danger.

The San Francisco 49ers rookie was shot in the chest on August 31st by a 17-year-old boy who tried to steal his Rolex watch in San Francisco's Union Square.

Pearsall's injuries were not life-threatening. He was discharged from the hospital the next day and returned to training at the team complex the same week.

Pearsall is set to make his NFL debut.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Friday that the No. 30 pick in the NFL Draft will be “fully available” this weekend.

“The players are excited,” Shanahan said. “He's been with the players for a while now, so it's not like he's not there. He's been practicing all week. It was really good to see him in the game. The players were really happy to have him. “He's had a tough week, but we're excited to have him with us.”
