5 injured, suspect arrested after reported knife attack at school in Germany

Five people were injured and one suspect was arrested in an incident at a school in the western German city of Wuppertal on Thursday, police said.

The incident occurred at Wilhelm Dörpfeld High School in the city’s Elberfeld district.

Police said there were no shots fired in the incident, but did not provide further information, according to German news agency dpa.

The Bild newspaper did not identify sources, but said it was a knife attack.
