5 killed, including baby and toddler, in Atlanta-area murder-suicide

Five people, including a boy and a girl, were found dead from gunshot wounds inside an Atlanta-area apartment Saturday night in what police are calling a murder-suicide.

DeKalb police found a 43-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man, a 26-year-old woman, a 5-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy dead from gunshot wounds. WBS-TV2 reported.

The identity of the victim has not been released, and it is not yet clear which adult was responsible.

Police were called to the Vineyards Flat Shoals apartment complex for a welfare check just before 7:30 p.m. 11 Alive reported.

According to reports, all five people were found dead from gunshot wounds inside the apartment.

Police said they were investigating the incident as a domestic murder-suicide, but did not provide further details.

It was not immediately clear how the victims knew each other.

DeKalb County is located approximately 20 minutes northeast of Atlanta.
