There are prolific Missouri foster parents Surveyed Police, who are considering numerous claims of abuse against children, are said to have been swapped for foster children in exchange for monkeys.
Brenda Germany, 70, reportedly worked as a foster parent for decades, caring for more than 200 children. spoke Go to KMOV-TV. Germany has been accused of abusing children for years, according to Lincoln County prosecutors.
“There were no police reports. There were no requests for prosecution. There were none.”
The alleged abuse occurred between September 2022 and January 2025, according to court documents. Prosecutors said Germany attacked the child in the face, causing injuries and bleeding, and other acts of physical, mental and emotional abuse.
Investigators said they were turned over anonymously over alleged abuse.
The victim was reported missing from a Missouri school and was taken to Texas. Investigators said one witness told Germany that they had left the child in Texas because they didn't get along well, but another witness said she had traded the child for a monkey.
Lincoln County Prosecutor Mike Wood said adults in Texas home were disabled and children seem to be caring for them. He described the house as “deplorable” because of the burst pipe.
According to Wood, Germany is accused of assessing psychological problems with children and sending them to residential treatment facilities as a form of punishment.
Wood said the home had been reported more than 200 times on the state's child abuse tip line, but no police reports were reported.
“This particular house was disappointed to find out that despite the infamy it gained, it wasn't in our system. There were no police reports. There were no requests for prosecution. There were none.”
The Lincoln County Sheriff said the woman called police several times to review the old files.
Wood said the investigation is expected to take a long time as abuse has been reported to have been carried out for more than a decade. The other suspects and witnesses contacted police.
Germany was arrested and charged with felony counts of negligence, child abuse and child risk. She is bound by $250,000 in cash-only bonds.
