84-Year-Old Nancy Pelosi Uses Walker on House Floor After Hip Surgery

Speaker Emeritus Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) used a walker on the House floor Monday as Congress certified the 2024 presidential election after recent hip replacement surgery.

Pelosi has been seen using a walker after recently undergoing hip surgery.

In mid-December, Pelosi was recovering from hip replacement surgery after suffering an injury in a fall during an event in Luxembourg.

“While visiting Luxembourg with a bipartisan delegation to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, Speaker Emeritus Nancy Pelosi sustained an injury in the line of duty and was hospitalized for evaluation,” her office announced at the time.

Breitbart News' Bradley Jay writes:

Today is certainly a difficult day for many Democrats. As The Hill's Michael Schnell points out, all five Democrats on the Jan. 6 committee to select Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) are in attendance. Pelosi sits with her longtime leadership partner, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), a stern expression on her face and a cell phone in her hand that she regularly checks. Most Democrats stare blankly ahead or look at their phones, only lifting their heads to applaud when the votes for Harris and Tim Walz are announced.

On Sunday, Pelosi said President-elect Donald Trump's rhetoric did not stop after the January 6, 2021 protests.

Pelosi: Violent language, yes, the intent. And, of course, there is the intention to attack the Vice President of the United States. Well, the day wasn't over. You know, he called on these people to continue the violence. My husband was the victim in all of them and still carries injuries from those attacks. So it goes on and on. It's not something that happens and ends. No, once you are attacked, the effects last. So I don't do that. It would be a really strange person to be president of the United States who thinks it's okay to pardon people involved in attacks. But let's try. Let's say it's okay to the American people. This is what it is about. Don’t be fooled by the denial of the 2020 election. Why would he say that? But he is–but he is. Add to that the denial of what happened on January 6th.

On Thursday, the California Democrat signaled his intention to return to Congress.

“I am heading to Washington to proudly represent the people of San Francisco in Congress,” she said. Postedalong with a video on X (formerly Twitter).
