94 days: Kamala Harris has yet to do formal press conference since emerging as Democratic nominee

Vice President Kamala Harris has gone 94 days without holding a formal press conference as the presumptive and now official Democratic presidential nominee.

President Trump has held six press conferences since early August to answer questions from the media, including one this month where he spoke with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp about hurricane relief efforts. Harris spoke briefly and privately with members of the media in Michigan on Monday.

President Biden also held a press conference in the White House Press Briefing Room earlier this month.

However, Harris' continued absence from Fox News came to an end last week when she gave an interview to Pennsylvania's chief political anchor, Bret Baier.

Harris has ramped up her interviews in recent weeks, including radio hits, “The View,” friendly appearances with Stephen Colbert and Howard Stern, and other media appearances.

But as for when she will actually hold a formal press conference as a candidate, that day may never come, at least not while she is a candidate.

Conservative Radio Libre host Jorge Bonilla said he felt Harris should hold a press conference, but said it was largely “irrelevant” as he continued to get passes.

She will hold press conferences while maintaining the illusion that she is there. I don't have any access to it, so I'm not responsible for it,” Bonilla told FOX News Digital. .

President Trump has missed several scheduled interviews in recent days, but he did not appear at the annual Al Smith Dinner, which has historically featured a casual roast of presidential candidates. appeared. Harris decided not to attend and instead sent a video message.
