Brooks Nader and Lindsey Vonn both faced unexpected wardrobe issues while shining on the red carpet at the 2025 ESPY Awards.
Nader stepped out in a creamy silk slip dress that had a daring neckline. Yet, as she posed for photos, the dress shifted to the side far more than anticipated, leading to a nip slip. Quick on her feet, she adjusted her outfit and carried on like a pro.
Vonn, too, encountered a fashion faux pas. Donning a stunning strapless dress with a high slit that showcased her athletic legs, she inadvertently revealed a bit of her underwear while navigating the red carpet.
As a gust of wind swept through, Nader’s dress was blown askew, revealing more than she had bargained for. Thankfully, her sister, Karin Kildow, dashed in to help, holding the dress down until the wind calmed.
Once inside, Vonn switched to a dazzling gown adorned with sparkling fringes and a sheer skirt. Since retiring in 2019, she was back at the awards show as a nominee for Best Comeback Performance, a recognition after returning to competitive skiing in November 2024.
Nader has often embraced risks with her fashion choices. In a previous interview, she mentioned that planning her red carpet appearances has been a passion of hers since childhood and that she relishes “trying out my style.” She acknowledged the influence of Sports Illustrated on her confidence, noting that the supermodels around her not only exude beauty but possess lovely personalities as well.
Reflecting on her bold fashion decisions, Nader admitted, “There have definitely been some disasters along the way.” She also discussed how she’s had to learn about navigating the challenges of opting for lighter, thinner fabrics.
