Vice President Vance Criticizes Wall Street Journal on Epstein Article
Vice President Vance expressed strong criticism regarding a recent article in the Wall Street Journal, referring to it as “full and full bull.” The piece discusses birthday messages allegedly written by President Trump in 2003 to Jeffrey Epstein, an acquaintance of his.
Vance took to X Social Media Platform on Thursday night to voice his disbelief: “I forgive my language, but this story is a complete and complete bull. Does anyone honestly believe this sounds like Donald Trump?”
President Trump has threatened legal action against the magazine owned by Rupert Murdoch over claims related to a birthday letter that supposedly appears in a leather-bound book celebrating Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003, amidst ongoing federal charges involving sex trafficking of minors.
Vance, who is an Ohio Senator, has a history of denouncing Trump’s harsh language and has raised questions about the government’s narrative concerning Epstein. He asserted on Thursday that the Journal failed to provide evidence of the Epstein birthday letter before publishing the piece.
He questioned the ethics of the publication, asking: “Are you violating the rules of journalistic ethics to make such a letter public without showing it to the victims of this hit?” He further urged skeptics to reconsider the claims, stating, “Does anyone who has bought every hoax against President Trump show an ounce of skepticism before buying this strange story?”
According to the Journal, the birthday message purportedly contains Trump’s signature and is displayed alongside a crude drawing of a naked woman.
The report includes a line from the typed poem on the page that reads, “People are amazing. Happy birthday – and each day may be another great secret.”
Trump has consistently denied having close connections with convicted sex offenders, insisting that he distanced himself from Epstein in the early 2000s. However, interest surrounding the Epstein incident intensified this week. When Trump advised his followers to ignore Epstein’s case, some supporters accused him of being misled by a leftist narrative.
Notably, he remarked on Truth Social this Thursday, “If Epstein had a ‘smoking gun,’ why did you control the ‘file’ for four years? Merrick Garland and former prosecutor Maureen Trump wrote about the truth! Because they had nothing!!!”
