Coldplay’s Chris Martin Addresses Concert-Goers Post Kiss Cam Scandal
At a recent concert, Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, playfully cautioned the audience to come prepared for camera moments. This remark seemed to nod to the recent controversy involving a kiss cam incident during his last performance.
This incident followed an awkward situation during Coldplay’s Boston concert, when billionaire CEO Andy Byron and HR executive Christine Cabott found themselves in the spotlight, prompting considerable online chatter.
“I want to say hello to some of the crowd, how do I do that, using the camera to put it on the big screen?” Martin asked the attendees at his show at Camplandor Stadium in Madison, as caught on social media.
“So, if you’re not wearing makeup, just put on makeup now,” he joked, adding a light-hearted touch to the evening.
These remarks came shortly after the viral moment where Byron, 50, and Cabot, 52, were seen in an embrace at a concert attended by 55,000 fans, which led to quite a stir.
While the twist of fate kept Byron out of public view, Cabot was seen quickly shielding his face from cameras.
Martin humorously remarked, “They are either cheating or are very shy,” adding to the atmosphere of lightheartedness in contrast to the recent drama.
By Thursday morning, news emerged linking the couple to their high-powered roles in a tech firm, which was soon followed by the release of another video highlighting their troubling situation.
Byron has since stepped down from his position as CEO, with Pete DeJoy named as interim CEO of the company.
As of Saturday, news of Byron’s resignation had circulated widely, noting his estimated wealth of between $50 million and $70 million, alongside his substantial salary details.
The future of Cabot within the AI data company remains uncertain.
