ICE Catches Illegal 'Monster' Released by Judge After Suspect Reportedly Decapitated Woman

An Illegal Immigrant Charged with a Gruesome Murder is Back in Custody

An illegal immigrant, connected to the shocking death of a woman in Waukegan, Illinois, has been taken into custody again. The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Jose Luis Mendoza Gonzalez from Mexico, was apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents after a brief release.

Officials from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported that Mendoza Gonzalez was arrested in April, facing charges including concealment of a body and obstruction of justice. Despite these serious allegations, he was released by Judge Randy Bruno after a short time in custody.

The victim, 37-year-old Megan Boss, had been reported missing in early March following concerns from a relative. Subsequent police investigations led to the grim discovery of her body, which was found stuffed in a container in Mendoza Gonzalez’s garden. Authorities revealed that the body had been beheaded and the container was treated with bleach.

A spokesperson from the DHS expressed outrage, stating, “It’s absolutely repulsive to walk freely in Illinois towns where he allegedly committed such a heinous crime. Megan Boss and her family have justice.” Meanwhile, Mendoza Gonzalez, who claims he is not guilty, faced media coverage of his situation, with Boss’s family advocating for changes to the Illinois Safe-T Act, especially after his release.

Boss’s father stated with evident frustration, “This man belongs in prison. Who can avoid responsibility for their actions? Hiding a body for 51 days?” Her mother also shared doubts, mentioning that Mendoza Gonzalez claimed Boss was under the influence when she died, but she remains skeptical about that version of events.

In September 2022, criticism arose regarding Governor JB Pritzker’s Safe-T Act. This new legislation, known as the Safety, Accountability, Fairness, and Equity (SAFE-T) Act, is set to take effect on January 1st of next year and faces pushback for the elimination of cash bail.

For further details about the implications of the Safe-T Act on Illinois residents, more information is available.
