Obama's Office Addresses Trump's Treason Claim: 'Unacceptable'

Obama’s Office Responds to ODNI Report

Former President Barack Obama’s office has labeled the recent report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) as “outrageous.” This report suggests that senior officials from the Obama administration coordinated efforts surrounding the alleged “Russian conspiracy” narrative after Donald Trump’s election.

In a statement released on Friday, spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush pushed back against the claims outlined in the report, which was highlighted by Nior Stunage, a columnist for Hill.

The ODNI report states that there is “overwhelming evidence” that after Trump won the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton, Obama and his national security team produced and politicized intelligence to create the foundation of what could be characterized as an ongoing coup against Trump.

Rodenbush firmly rejected these allegations, stating, “By respecting the presidency, our office usually does not dignify the constant nonsense that comes out of this White House. But these claims are outrageous.” He referred to the allegations as “ridiculous” and weak attempts at distraction.

Furthermore, he noted that the documents issued recently do not alter the widely accepted view that Russia attempted to influence the 2016 election, albeit failing to manipulate actual votes—a conclusion confirmed by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, then led by Marco Rubio.

This statement followed shortly after Trump declared Obama “guilty.” He asserted, “He’s guilty. That’s not a question. I want to say, ‘Let’s give him time.’ But he is guilty.”

Trump went on to express regret for not pursuing allegations against Clinton over her email scandal back in 2017, saying, “it’s time to chase after people” regarding what has transpired over the last decade.

Reflecting on his past choices, Trump mentioned, “When I caught Hillary Clinton, I thought, ‘You know what… don’t go too far, it’s the president’s ex-wife.’ I took her off the hook.”

He concluded, “It’s time to chase after people, whether it’s right or wrong. Obama was caught directly.” Trump made some controversial claims about the nature of the actions taken during both administrations, suggesting that the orders were explicit.
