Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi Sell British Farmhouse for $30 Million
Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have put their expansive British farmhouse on the market for a staggering $30 million.
Last November, the couple left the U.S. and set up residence in the Cotswolds, a popular retreat among Hollywood stars.
However, just a year after acquiring the stunning 43-acre estate known as “Kitsbridge Farm,” they are now looking to sell it, as reported by a major outlet.
The couple, who have been married since 2008, reportedly lived in the farm for a brief period before deciding they needed a different space. DeGeneres mentioned that Portia, a horse lover, required a home with equestrian facilities.
Prior to listing the farm, the couple had purchased it for around $20 million the previous spring.
They have already moved to a nearby residence better suited for their pets and animals.
The property features seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, along with a guest cottage that holds two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. Notably, it also includes five heated garages, each equipped with a kitchen.
Additionally, the luxurious estate boasts a “party bar,” an indoor swimming pool, a gym, a home garden, and numerous outdoor living spaces. It also comes with helicopter sheds.
This sale announcement follows DeGeneres’s recent confirmation that she and de Rossi planned to relocate to the UK, influenced by the backdrop of President Trump’s re-election campaign.
In a chat with British host Richard Bacon during a Cheltenham event, DeGeneres shared her experiences of living in the area.
Initially, the couple intended to stay in the UK for a few months but made the decision for a permanent move after Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris.
DeGeneres recalled their arrival: “We came here the day before the election and woke up to texts from a friend who was crying. I said, ‘He’s in.’ And we decided to stay.”
