Police Investigate Gunshots During Robbery, Take Notable Homeowner GloRilla Into Custody In Unexpected Development

Glorilla Arrested on Drug Charges After Home Break-In

Glorilla has been arrested on felony drug charges following a reported break-in at her mansion in Atlanta. According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to respond to a robbery in progress at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. During this incident, three suspects allegedly entered the home, prompting the armed residents to fire shots at the intruders, who fled before authorities arrived. A subsequent search involving K-9 units and drones led to the detection of a strong smell associated with illegal drugs.

TMZ reported that a significant quantity of marijuana was discovered in Glorilla’s master bedroom closet after the drug task force, having obtained a search warrant, conducted a search. Interestingly, Glorilla was not present during the break-in, yet she has been charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.

Glorilla, whose real name is Gloria Woods, voluntarily turned herself in at the Forsyth County Jail on Tuesday and was released later that day after posting a bail amount of $22,260.

Her attorneys, Marissa Goldberg and Drew Fundling, expressed outrage over the charges in a statement to TMZ, calling Glorilla’s arrest a troubling indication of law enforcement priorities. They mentioned, “Gloria Woods left town when her residence was targeted by a group of invaders who likely knew she wasn’t there.” The lawyers pointed out that the intruders, believing the house was unoccupied, ended up fleeing after realizing the situation was more dangerous than they anticipated.

The law firm accused deputies of pursuing charges against Glorilla instead of focusing on the violent home invasion, suggesting that law enforcement sought a warrant merely because of what they thought was a small amount of marijuana. They further stated, “There have been no warrants issued for the violent home invaders. Ms. Woods is the victim, not a suspect.” The firm did not respond immediately to requests for further comments.
