Worrisome health updates about Hulk Hogan surfaced a month prior to his passing

Hulk Hogan’s Health and Recent Passing

Hulk Hogan was the subject of health rumors leading up to his death on Thursday. The WWE icon, who was 71, was taken by ambulance from his Clearwater, Florida home, reportedly suffering from “cardiac arrest.” Tragically, he passed away shortly after being admitted to the hospital.

The Clearwater Police confirmed that Hogan died at 11:17 AM, noting there was no sign of foul play involved.

Speculation about Hogan’s declining health had begun around mid-June. A Tampa radio show host, known for having wrestlers at his own wedding, had claimed there were whispers of Hogan’s condition worsening.

“It’s been said Hogan is in the hospital, and I’ve heard rumors he might not pull through,” the host remarked, claiming a “very reliable” source had informed him.

At that time, Hogan’s publicist assured TMZ that he was not on his deathbed, emphasizing that he had been battling some medical issues but had recently started moving around again.

In June, Hogan had undergone what was described as a “small fusion procedure” on his neck, causing concern but no alarm.

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff had also refuted the rumors surrounding Hogan’s health.

Bischoff, along with Hogan, had announced plans for a new wrestling promotion, with their first live event set for August 30th in Cleveland.

However, reports persisted, with one source claiming on July 9 that Hogan had spent nearly six weeks in intensive care.

“I don’t know if I’ll see Hogan again,” the host added, expressing growing concerns.

He described Hogan as being “confused” and largely absent from public view. Reports pointed to concerns over potential long-term complications from breathing issues.

On July 11, Hogan’s wife, yoga instructor Sky Daily, addressed the rumors of brain damage resulting from a coma. She asserted that Hogan’s heart remained strong and that he was recuperating well post-surgery.

“He’s absolutely not in a coma! His heart is strong, and there has never been any brain damage or oxygen deprivation,” she stated. She explained that they’d been frequently visiting hospitals for his recovery and reassured that there was no reason for panic.

Just two months after announcing their engagement, Hogan married 25-year-old Sky Daily in September 2023.
