Trump Discusses Falling Out with Epstein
During a press conference, former President Donald Trump revealed that he severed his friendship with financier Jeffrey Epstein due to concerns about some female staff from his Mar-A-Lago spa. Trump shared that he had hired these workers at his resort multiple times, despite Epstein’s history.
Trump noted that some of Epstein’s employees were young women, mentioning Virginia Giuffre, who was only 17 at the time. “It was about everyone knowing who was involved,” he said, adding, “People were taken from the spa, and I had no idea at first. When I learned, I told him, ‘We don’t want you taking our staff,'” he continued. However, Epstein ignored his warning, leading to Trump deciding to cut ties with him.
When asked if Giuffre was among those hired by the spa, Trump was somewhat vague, saying, “I think she worked there. I think so. I mean, he took her, and she didn’t complain to us.”
Trump emphasized that Epstein’s actions marked the end of their relationship, stating, “I told him not to do that anymore. He went too far, and that’s when it ended.” This comes amid ongoing discussions surrounding Epstein’s connections and the allegations made against him. Giuffre, a prominent figure in these claims, has alleged that she was a victim of sexual abuse linked to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Trump previously indicated that their friendship deteriorated after a disagreement related to a property in Florida back in 2004. Reports also suggest that he banned Epstein from Mar-A-Lago due to inappropriate behavior towards a member’s teenage daughter.
Recently, Trump claimed that evidence regarding him in the Epstein case was being leaked by the Biden administration to help bolster the Democratic agenda ahead of the upcoming elections.
