Montreal – Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry Dine Together

A communications consultant at Le Violon confirmed that former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and singer Katy Perry had dinner together in Montreal on Monday evening, spending about two hours at the restaurant. Photos shared by TMZ have led to speculation about a potential romance between the two.

Samantha Jin, the consultant, mentioned that the pair stayed to themselves, with neither staff nor other patrons approaching them. “We got the vibe that they were a little colder,” she noted.

Jin further remarked, “There are no visual signs such as PDAs,” indicating that the atmosphere didn’t seem romantic. TMZ initially reported the dinner, sharing a video that showcased Trudeau and Perry engaged in animated conversations.

Perry recently parted ways with Orlando Bloom and is set to perform at various locations, including Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, and two upcoming dates in Toronto.

Trudeau, who separated from his ex-wife Sophie Gregoire in 2023, was observed by security at the bar as the two enjoyed the chef’s menu, which featured a selection of appetizers like tuna, beef tartare, lobster, and asparagus. Jin also mentioned that chef Danny Smile made a visit to their table and expressed gratitude to the kitchen team before they departed.

Requests for comments from representatives of both Trudeau and Perry went unanswered.

After nearly a decade in office, Trudeau announced his resignation earlier this year. His father, Pierre Trudeau, was also a prime minister who started his term as a bachelor, famously dating actresses like Barbra Streisand and Kim Cattrall, and marrying a much younger woman while serving in office.

Katy Perry, originally from California, is a 13-time Grammy Award nominee known for shaping the 2000s pop sound. She’s one of the best-selling artists of all time, especially noted for her album “Teenage Dream,” which produced five number-one hits, a feat only matched by Michael Jackson’s “Bad.”
