Patel Discovered Important Documents on Trump-Russia Investigation Hidden in 'Burn Bags'

FBI Director Uncovers Hidden Documents Related to Trump-Russia Investigations

FBI Director Kash Patel recently disclosed a significant discovery: a large cache of documents tied to investigations about Trump and Russia was found in what he described as “burning bags” stored in a concealed room at FBI headquarters.

Sources familiar with the situation indicated that the FBI employs a “burning bag” process for disposing of sensitive documents. It seems several of these bags were uncovered in a secret space that was previously used by former FBI Director James Comey and his team during the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Patel discovered annexes linked to the final report from former special advisor John Durham, which includes key information that Durham reviewed.

The annex that has been declassified will be forwarded to Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley, who is responsible for making the document publicly available.

Insiders have shared some details about the annex’s contents, which have stirred controversy within the Bureau. Reportedly, U.S. intelligence had credible foreign sources suggesting that the FBI was involved in disseminating the narrative surrounding Trump-Russia collusion. This situation has raised eyebrows regarding the Crossfire Hurricane investigation as well.

One source mentioned that while the implications of the intelligence collected may not have been entirely clear at the time, hindsight suggests that the FBI’s next actions would be characterized by unexpected idiosyncrasies.

Some sources pointed out that the classified annex could bolster claims that there was a coordinated effort to generate controversy linking Trump to Russia in favor of the Clinton campaign.

“Just days after collecting this intelligence, the FBI initiated Crossfire Hurricane,” the source noted. “It’s difficult to envision how Brennan, Clapper, and Comey could justify this.”

This “Secret Room” discovery was discussed on a podcast episode with Joe Rogan back in June. Rogan had pointed out that this room was filled with documents and hard drives that had remained largely unknown.

Patel responded by saying, “Consider this: when I became the FBI director, I uncovered a room that Comey and others had concealed from the world at Hoover’s building.”
