Cat Fon D Enters Orthodox Church
Tattoo artist and musician Cat Fon D has shared her journey into the Orthodox Church, marking a significant spiritual transition.
Fon D, baptized as a Christian this year, recently documented her experiences in a video montage. She traveled across Europe, visiting various churches with her son and celebrating the Eastern Feast.
“Whether you’re Orthodox or not, it’s a joy to share the beauty of these sacred and historic places,” she expressed. Moreover, she mentioned that her priests advised against discussing her transition from Protestantism to Orthodoxy publicly, which seems wise.
“Since my official enrollment in the Orthodox Church, many have asked about my conversion,” she noted. “After conversations with Archbishop Stephen, I’ve decided to hold off on public interviews for at least a year. I think that’s great advice.”
She added, “I don’t want to keep my spiritual journey hidden. I’m just fine with waiting until I’m ready to represent the church I deeply cherish.”
“In the meantime, I hope you enjoy glimpsing this part of my life. Protect yourself and your loved ones,” she mentioned.
In her closing thoughts, Fon D shared a brief prayer, asking for mercy as a sinner.
In 2022, she moved away from books related to magic and the occult and underwent baptism at her previous church, a Swiss Baptist Church in Indiana—a decision that drew mixed reactions from the Christian community.
“It’s really disheartening to witness such judgment from Christians,” she reflected. “I can’t help but wonder what drives it. It doesn’t seem to reflect Christ’s teachings.”
“I don’t quite feel ready to be a poster child for Christianity yet,” she concluded. “I think I’m still learning.”
