Kash Patel's partner addresses conspiracy theories about her being a spy

Alexis Wilkins, the girlfriend of FBI director Kash Patel, has found herself navigating the challenging waters of an “incredibly discouraging” conspiracy theory suggesting she’s somehow involved with foreign governments at the bureau.

The 26-year-old country singer expressed her frustration, stating that some skeptics are twisting her background into something it’s not.

“People latch onto certain details, and I think I understand why,” Wilkins said during an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show on Wednesday. “They’re looking to connect dots, to explain some of the pain they’ve experienced over the past few years.” She feels that the evidence has been selectively interpreted, leading to incorrect conclusions.

As rumors escalated online following a note from the Justice Department regarding Jeffrey Epstein, some internet users began to claim that Wilkins is a Mossad agent sent to compromise Patel. One of the claims mentioned her Jewish heritage, although she identifies as Armenian and Christian and doesn’t appear to have any ties to Israel.

The conversation continued with speculation around her position at PragerU, a conservative nonprofit organization. Some connected this with past associations when PragerU’s CEO had served in the Israeli army.

When pressed directly by Kelly if she was a foreign government spy, Wilkins firmly replied, “No doubt, that’s not the case.” She also shared her disappointment over conspiracy theorists, especially after Donald Trump’s election, lamenting that it’s frustrating to see people inventing baseless stories. “These accusations are completely ridiculous,” she stated in a post.

Wilkins and Patel met at a friend’s gathering in Nashville in 2022 and began their relationship in early 2023. She noted that despite their 19-year age difference, she feels it doesn’t define their connection. “I immediately appreciated his honesty,” she mentioned, praising his character and values as fantastic.

The country singer, who also hosts a show on Rumble, pointed out that there isn’t enough concrete information available to draw solid conclusions about ongoing investigations, which in turn fuels conspiracy narratives. She believes that ambiguity provides a fertile ground for trolls to thrive.

Patel shared that the negativity surrounding the Epstein saga has been “frustrating and distressing.” Wilkins reiterated that his involvement is strictly official and that she doesn’t possess any insider knowledge beyond what’s publicly accessible. When asked about the release of additional Epstein files, she responded that she would welcome it if it meant people would stop labeling her a spy.
